Keep it accessible for service — don't enclose it behind walls or inside a bench — and install it flat and level. Build the steam enclosure from non-porous, moisture-resistant materials such as porcelain or ceramic tile, tempered glass, and sealed grout (natural stone must be sealed regularly), with rust-resistant fixtures and moisture-safe seating such as teak.
