Sarouk Farahan rugs are among the most respected antique Persian weavings, originating in the Farahan region near Arak. These rugs gained prominence in the 19th and early 20th centuries for their high-quality craftsmanship and elegant designs. Unlike later American Sarouks, Farahan pieces often feature more open fields and symmetrical floral motifs, sometimes centered around a medallion or stylized vase pattern.
