This vintage 7x10 Persian Bakhtiari Saman rug features a distinctive scalloped diamond medallion anchored on a finely detailed lattice field. Bakhtiari rugs originate from the Bakhtiari tribe in the Zagros Mountains of western Iran. The Saman district, in particular, is known for producing some of the most finely woven Bakhtiaris, often integrating complex latticework and floral flourishes. Crafted using hand-spun wool and natural dyes, Bakhtiari rugs are admired for their longevity and artistic depth.
