This antique Persian Sarouk rug, measuring 3'4" x 5', features a richly layered medallion field set against a deep brick red ground, bordered by floral sprays in inky midnight blue. Woven with a dense knot count of approximately 190 KPSI, its refined weave highlights the meticulous floral arrangements and mirrored symmetry often associated with early 20th-century Sarouk craftsmanship. The elegant central floral motifs bloom outward, balanced by delicate vine work and a strong, contrasting border that gives the piece a classic architectural frame. Sarouk rugs are among the most celebrated Persian rugs, renowned for their formal floral designs and exceptional durability.
