Shahsavan rugs are woven by the Shahsavan tribes of northwestern Iran, primarily in the regions near the Caucasus Mountains. Known for their utilitarian craftsmanship and strong tribal identity, these rugs often feature bold geometric motifs, high-quality wool, and a distinct combination of pile and kilim weaving techniques.
